How Often Should You Seal Coat Your Driveway or Parking Lot?

However, that is typically not needed, and you can go 2-3 years in between each coat. Some weather factors such as temperature, humidity, and rain can lengthen dry time. Don’t drive on your new sealcoated driveway or parking lot for at least 24 hours, 48 hours to be extra safe.

What is the effect of having sealcoating versus no seal coating? Regularly sealcoating your asphalt every 2-3 years can extend its lifespan by approximately five years.
